Hi, I’m Avery Forton — an abstract artist specializing in acrylic paints and photo fusion. For over three years, I’ve been diving deep into the world of painting, and for nearly a year, I’ve been living my dream as a full-time artist. I like to describe my work as “colorful nonsense,” where vibrant palettes, textures, and abstract forms invite the imagination to roam. Sometimes I see specific shapes or figures emerge in my work, while other times it’s purely an exploration of color and feeling.

I thrive on the energy of live painting events — from nonprofit fundraisers to realtor gatherings, car shows, and spontaneous sessions in lively spots around the Kansas City area. Meeting people as I paint is one of my favorite parts of the process. I love hearing what others see in my work — their perspectives often surprise and inspire me.

Beyond the canvas, I bring my art to life through videos on my YouTube channel, where I share about three paintings each week. Every piece is paired with an original soundtrack, created in collaboration with my partner, Chris Teeter, whose compositions perfectly complement the mood of each work. These videos are designed to be as relaxing as they are visually engaging — a space where art and music merge.
